Five years ago Cleveland Clinic’s nurse leaders came together to overhaul the nursing intranet site. Today it is a dynamic site that prompts an average of 16,000 visits a week from nurses across the system. It is the central location for the latest news and need-to-know information, and it is helping to drive nurse engagement and patient care. It is a place for leadership dialogue and two-way communication with nurses from all locations.
Monthly rounding brings nursing leaders and other executives face to face with frontline staff and patients. Since rounding has been implemented many patient care issues have been addressed.
