What attendees can expect

“This symposium will present in-depth clinical perspectives from expert physicians on the interplay of medical, endoscopic and surgical treatment of complex IBD, including the medical and surgical management of perianal Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and ileal pouch disorders to optimize patient outcomes,” says Activity Co-director Bo Shen, MD, Medical Director of Cleveland Clinic’s Victor W. Fazio, MD, Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

“You can expect to come away with a greater understanding of current state-of-the-art IBD medical and surgical management techniques for incorporating new therapies into clinical practice,” adds Activity Co-director and IBD Center Surgical Director Tracy Hull, MD, “including the safety and efficacy of recently available biologics and their impact on infection risks and how to reduce those risks in pre- and post-surgery periods.”
