The 2015 conference, which is being held Friday, Sept. 4, in Cleveland, will explore advancements in neonatal care, concepts and controversies. Discussions will focus on new trends for improving outcomes in surgical care and pharmaceutical treatment strategies, as well as the challenges they present.
While the concept of ‘best practice’ continues to evolve with the progression of neonatal care, this year’s conference will enable attendees to enhance clinical practice through the latest evidence-based approaches and provide helpful strategies for addressing neonatal patient and family care needs and dilemmas.
“This conference is designed to bring added value and education to healthcare professionals who care for neonatal patients,” says Conference Chairperson Nicole Herrick, BSN, RN, of Cleveland Clinic’s NICU. “Attendees will garner insight into the latest in evidence-based neonatal care, with a specialized focus on legal topics that affect care delivery. Conference curriculum will give practitioners the knowledge and tools they need to provide enhanced care for patients and patients’ families.”
The conference is set to feature a variety of neonatal care and legal topics, including how a multidisciplinary approach can improve neonatal nursing practice, required nursing documentation and medical malpractice.
Experts from Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Clinic Children’s, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital will lead informative sessions on these topics and more:
The conference begins with registration and breakfast on Sept. 4 at 7:30 a.m. EST with the welcome address slated for 8 a.m. EST. It is being held at the Lerner Research Institute on Cleveland Clinic’s main campus and will conclude at 5 p.m. EST.
