The inspiring four-day event brings together caregivers from all paths and locations, including patient experience leaders, healthcare CEOs, innovators, nursing leaders, policy makers, major stakeholders, and industry experts, as well as patients, for presentations, panel discussions, debates and other activities designed to enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
Attendees have the opportunity to learn and share with others, discover innovative solutions in healthcare delivery, build relationships and highlight the exceptional work of healthcare providers transforming patient care through empathy and innovation.
The 2016 summit will take place May 15-18, at the Cleveland Convention Center in downtown Cleveland. As in years past, the summit’s opening day will feature a special half-day track devoted solely to nursing professionals that will highlight a plethora of important nursing-related patient experience topics, some of which include:
“Improving the patient experience is our collective responsibility as healthcare professionals, and in nursing our duty to uphold this commitment certainly begins at the bedside, but it continues well beyond points of direct patient interaction,” says Cleveland Clinic’s Executive Chief Nursing Officer, K. Kelly Hancock, DNP, RN, NE-BC, a 25-year nursing veteran. “In addition to exploring patient experience opportunities at the bedside, this year’s summit will take a closer look at the various facets of the nursing profession beyond the bedside that can deeply impact patient experience.”
